Boreal Collection- Call Of The Wild
My first aurora piece featuring a pack of wolves! This piece was inspired by the film “The Call Of The Wild”. The film shows that all animals, including us humans, have an inner wild spirit that pulls us toward nature and adventure. This piece features a bright green aurora dancing over towering reclaimed cedar mountains as a pack of wolves howl among the trees. The mountains are sealed with a generous application of tung oil while the frame received a coat of water based black stain.

The cedar in this piece was given to me by a Calgary based contractor who had saved off cuts from job sites over the years. The frame is made of used pine 2x4s from a garage build in Airdrie, AB.
