Life in Amber
Do you ever wish you could freeze a moment in time? I often do. This piece was inspired by our recent trip to Waterton where my kiddos were running down a trail as the sun peeked through the mountains above them. The smell of the wild roses around us, the buffalo grazing in the distance and the profound sense of calmness I felt had me wishing I could keep that moment forever. As if it was frozen in amber.

This piece is made entirely out of reclaimed cedar and brings out the variety of colour found in cedar. The mountains are made of a discarded 2x6 from a job site and the sky is made of wood saved from fence and deck demolitions over the years. Sun-kissed is finished with a generous application of tung oil to bring out the stunning colours and protect the piece for years to come.

This piece is heavy and needs to be mounted into studs. It comes ready to hang with a wire across the back.
